Well, how should I start? haha

Should I start with updating my past 3 years or should I just start with the gift (the present) ^_^?

I think I will leave the updating part to later as right now I am at work and do not have much time to think and write long. Also I AM ABSOLUTELY NOT SUPPOSED TO BLOG AT THIS TIME, but I feel s*** and want to release...

OMG after 3 and a half year and the new post is all depressing. :((

Just a few days past my 27 birthday, a few days ago I felt I reached the peak of my happiness and a few days after I felt I reached the depth of my hell. Why? I dont know how but I do know that life is always in a balance state, you can not be happy forever (which means you are crazy =_=) . When you are too happy, there are time you will head to the opposite way to balance it out T_T

I know that, I prepare for that but still it makes me scared of feeling and wanting any extreme happiness.

And... the reason for my depressing state atm? I feel that I have been fooled REAL HARD. I am such a stupid, air-head girl, did some bad things and now truly experience true KARMA...

If you have a wish, what would you want?

Yesterday, someone ask me that.
I think about a lot of things. I don't know what i want. I want a lot of things, like rich, beauty, success, intelligence, hot-boyfriend, etc.
But then I realised that all of that dream is of the future and somehow
so selfish. I think those wish could be achieved if you really wish for that and work for that.
I also think like wish for the world, for the person you love to be happy or wish for someone but not you. But isn't it too fake if you are really willing to wish for someone instead of you since you have so many wishes would want to gain.
Whatever,...
But if i do have a wish, genuine in the bottle, please gain me this one wish: I wish... Toi duoc song gan nhung nguoi toi yeu thuong.

Just back from Thailand

I and my cousin went to Thailand on a 5 days 4 nights short trip to Thailand from 18th -23rd Jan. It was quite a good trip with lots of fun and new experiences except for the fact that my cousin was the main cause of my resentment. Too lazy, too stubborn, too untidy and too many things that made me really angry and I never want to travel with him ever again.
Anyway, forget about him, let' s talk about the fun in Thailand.
My flight was at night time and because it was overbooked we were upgraded to the business class instead of the normal economy class. How lucky...
Once we arrived at Bangkok airport, I found it is extremely large but I still managed to be the first one to checked out and waited for the rest of the group.
We reached the hotel at nearly 2am in the morning. I was so tired but still there was a mess on organizing the room... 2:30 am, I was at my hotel room and found out that the room had a double bed... DOUBLE BED Ahhh. What the hell, huhu, I felt awkward to sleep with my cousin only a year apart in a same bed. Ah my cousin is a he...
Woke up at 7am the next day, We rushed to have breakfast then got on the bus to Pattaya - a devil city according to the tourist guy. Pattaya is a city of debauched play and sex... However, I decided not to watch the sex show although I am quite curious :p. But it is really awkward to watch it with my cousin. The show was described to be very blatant and disgusting...
Ah but I watched the Tiffany show of homosexual performing. Wow, the girls (who are actually guys) are so beautiful and I managed to have one photo with one of them and paid 40 Bart (that's the rule).

To me, the second day was the funniest day.
Ah, while i was at Pattaya beach, I got a tattoo (of course it's a fake one) on my right hand. It said to last for 2 weeks.

The 3rd and the 4th day was sightseeing and shopping. It was ok.
During the trip, I really enjoyed the tourist guy's talk while on bus. He has a extreme sense of humor. Ya, I love him so much haha.

However, wherever I go, home is still the best...to me.

Ah, the photos up there are my photography's final assignment. What do you think? The concept is so simple, and I realised (during the presentation in class) that my concept is similar to one guy in our class. Crap, but no time to change, just go for it ^_^

There was no post throughout October. Hic I was too busy and in depressed state (couldn't help) although my birthday is on 22nd Oct. Should have post some... Feel regret.
Anyway, happy 23 years of single. Yay, kinda proud of myself :p

It has been so long that I didn't post any... pretty busy with work and assignment (although I thought I didn't do much, i think I actually sleep more than work).

4 subjects and 2 jobs, I always think I can somehow manage them all because this semester, the projects seem abit more relaxing but now I really do think that I can not handle them all. I didnt think that I was too tired but the fact that I always felt sleepy proving that I overworked (is it true?)

Talking to my mum yesterday, I realized that by talking to her everyday keep myself from stress and depressing with the Australian lifestyle. The people here always go to work then go home quickly have dinner and go to bed. What a boring lifestyle. Yeah it is true that Vietnamese people dont have much work and always have a lot of time hanging around and chatting, but that way would keep people close to each other and therefore I think, Vietnamese people are rich in family love compared to other Western nations.

Ah, I finally finished the project for Onion Boy, feeling so light as if I got rid of a few kilos from my body (aha too exaggerate, however, I can say that this was a good experience to experience a bad work experience... :p)

Currently working at Digital Eskimo, cant say it is gonna be a great experience yet. HA! I finally understand why people prefer to study than work. .However, I can't really say much about my work experience at D.E because of Confidential issue. Anyway, the only thing I can say and do is "Try my best".

Don't feel very happy lately because of something unpleasant happened, but it couldn't be help, we are imperfect human and we bound to make mistakes, the hardest thing to do is to forgive and forget. I can only do half, the rest would depend on time...

Also, there is no good photos or images to post, i may dig my old image stocks to see if there are anything good... ^_^

Hate myself for being overly sensitive

Sensitivity is sometimes good because it shows that you are not a cold-hearted or thick skin person, but for most of the time, it will tire you out since you are so sensitive to people's emotion surrounding you.

IT IS REALLY TIRING...

Recently, I started to realise a lot of things that to be honest I would like not to know about. But what can be done about it? We are all human anyway, and we supposed to make mistake sometimes. YEAH SOMETIMES, pls.

IGNORE... is the only thing i think I can do.

I am said that I always over think thing that it's really not good for me. It's true...
I always think that I am a very lucky girl that can have everything I want one way or another (except for lotteries). But there is one thing that I am confused with: Will I be able to find an ****** ******?

Product photography

I personally love the photo although it is technically wrong...

I always thought that photograph products is far more easy than photograph people. But I was totally wrong, I don't know how other people perceive, to me Object photography is really challenging especially how to get the right lighting. The composition is not really as challenging as when photographing people but then to get the right lighting was really a nightmare to me.
The other thing is that although I can easily play around with the product to get the right composition without worrying that it will get tired like real models. But it seems to me that it's quite boring because objects is non-emotional anyway.
Haha, not until Photography 4 that we learnt about product shot which is enough to know that product photography is not simple and I have learnt a valuable lesson here.
However, after this, I realised that I am interested in the fashion photography or the cosmetic packaging design or publishing and advertising. I will work hard to polish my skills and build up my passion and professionalism which I always seems to lack of .Although there were times when I felt time I don't have any motivation or wondering if I chose the right path because I don't seem to have talent or ambition for design like my best friend. But I am sure that i still can keep going and I believe my love for aesthetics can help me move forward.

I worked on the image while listening to my favourite love song, I was wondering if the images representing my chaotic feeling at the moment which I am kind of know what it is but somehow can not fully understand what I am thinking...

What is the purpose for having a blog since it seems like I can not fully express myself, my deepest thought and emotion.

PEP - Expecting to be done by the end of September

Today is the 12th day that I worked for Onion Boy.
I was and am still so frustrated at the way they work especially the decision making part, they keep changing there original brief that made it really hard for me to cope with. Plus, working without payment but because of my reputation and their kindness, I tried my best although I don't really happy with my design. After attending a few lecture of RDP class, I realised that I did miss out a lot of step in design process which I was supposed to follow such as the initial research, brainstorming and sketching out idea proposals, instead of jumping to the computer stage where by I let my creativity lead by the computer.
Novice, Advanced Beginner or Competent, Proficient and Expert???
The way I worked made me question my professional stage? A novice or proficient? Probably in between. As a third year student actively learning and reflecting on the design process, I seemed to lose direction when it comes to self-direct my work process where there will be no uni tutors to assist me on my projects. But then, it is good to know what I am missing and what need to be develop in term of the design process. I don' t think that I am not creative, I don' t think that I don't have a talent. I just think what I am still lacking is passion and concept of professionalism which can be developed through work experience, that in this case, PEP is really become a really helpful opportunity. I will soon do internship at Digital Eskimo to train myself in a different design environment which I think would be a very helpful reference for my future study and career. The experience I had here at Onion Boy will help to prepare for working at DE. Hope everything will be great.

The ski trip ^u^

Ya it was so much fun, and I can ski now. How wonderful it is... New experience and new achievement. This trip really marked a nice end to my uni break...
Look at the landscape, so fabulous,

We departed at 6pm from the Eddy Avenue and arrived the Snowy valley around 12 am in the morning, after renting all the equipment, we rushed for a bath and then went to bed. Because we had to wake up at 6am to have breakfast at 6:30 then get on the bus at 8am to go to the Thredbo.

Ya the food is quite ok but because we were so hungry therefore it tasted quite good.

Haha I am so short, we 3 looked like the stairs.
We then get on the bus, ya so funny photos, cute Trina and Jaclyn... and corny me... hehe

Jaclyn skied for full 2 days but me and Trina only did 1 and a half day and spent sometime at the village. Ya we crazily did go for swimming at saturday night but then we forgot to take photos (haha maybe J don't want to be photographed in swim suit). Ah not very cold at all because the water was heated up.
The end of the 2nd day, we were at friday flat having a bit of fun before we headed home.

3rd day and 4th day at work

I start to realise I don't really like to work for free and work at onion boy.
I shouldn't have said that... I know... I KNOW.
I should appreciated that they give me a chance to work and fulfill my uni requirement and the boss seems to be a nice person. First I want to say thank you
But then, I feel a bit disappointed with the way they work... unorganised... maybe I am a clean freak. But please, I really frustrated when working there. Frustrated about the projects, and everything...

Anyway, I will still try my best until the project done. Because I have my own work dignity...
The 3rd and 4th day at work pretty much I focused on making the brochure cover and try to work out my template. Did not learn much form my senior coz he was too busy... Ah help him a bit on the logo (looking for the similar font...).

I am now still keeping the idea of working at Digital Eskimo. And I might be dead by the time the mid term break started. But then, I don't want to regret... I will negotiate, I will manage... God help me...

Pretty much done the first part of the design, still need to finish my page and then wait for other designers' pages and I will put thing together.
Yeah... that will be my duty for this weekend.

Ya My is really busy lately, don't even have enough time to sleep.
Right after the ski trip, my whole body is painful but fortunately, it quickly recovered and now to make it worse, I slipped yesterday... I SLIPPED... I YO... huhuhu... hahaha.
Now I can't even walk or bend down. POOR ME...

Ya had a really nice time with Trina and Jaclyn recently. We went out and had dinner and beer after work. We all looked very tired but then it was so much fun.
Ya Thanks Trina, you made me laugh like hell. I feel like I am a lot younger now.
Thanks Jaclyn for treating me beer... Ya you know what next time let me treat you otherwise I would feel I am a most stingy person in the world. HAHA

2nd day at work

From 10am to 2pm,
Discussing with Martin about the concept and layout. Eveything is much more clear more. Thanks.
Need to design the cover (front and back), plus the info page for Onion boy and my own design pages. He said design has 2 types: industrial design and creative design. Industrial design is just like business card design, having info and a bit of layout and done. But for Creative design, it takes time to come up with a nice and appropriate solutions. There is no way if you just sit in front of the computer and do stuffs is designing. Sometimes, a little break, a short walk, a quick glance can be a huge inspiration. But then inspiration is for amateur. We professional need to continuing working and solutions for the problem would come eventually. We can not let the inspiration overdrive us.
Then just take your time and start doing all sort of things that excites you. Even these proposed design would not be the solution for our design, these may be the solutions for other design problems. Keep it as long as you like it. You are the designer. You need to focus and listen to your eyes and intuition. Then you are open to endless opportunities.
Today, I did the info page, continuing the cover although still not very happy with the book name as well as the image. Need to design my pages tomorrow and find way to communicate the theme for the cover :"Think outside the square".
I think the logo fit best with images using the ink... Gotta try ink, photography and/or photoshop. I end up decided on the brochure with 16 pages (8 spreads).
Gotta find space for the CD...???

Hanging around with Jaclyn and had dinner with other friends.
Ah I bought a new printer today for only $49. Ya gotta claim the cash back. REMIND!!!

I failed the Driving test TT_TT

Just because of slow signaling 2 times...
Waste money and time because the next test is gonna be 6 weeks later.
Really annoyed today because of the internet ringtone service that cost me $55 ($5 each).
It is really true that first bad luck in new year affects the rest of the year. Right after the lunar new year, I wasted $100 for crab reason, now during the year I keep losing money unnecessary. DAMN IT.

First day work at Onion Boy (10-4pm with no break time)

Now I start to record what I did for my internship as a report diary.
What I gonna say is that I am really surprised that they gave me really design job to a starter like me to handle. I was quite frustrated at first because I don't know how to start and I had a really bad habit that I prefer to work alone without anyone around and have lots of reference books around me but then I have to overcome this and just do whatever I can today. I heard this phrase from somewhere I couldn't remember that it takes time and courage for a designer to show of their work, and no matter how good or bad it is, you - a viewer - has to appreciate that and comment them with passion and encouragement. (and please forgive me if I cited wrong, but that is what I remember). Anyway, at the end of the day, my graphic design college had given me a good finger for my logo design, and I found it really encouraging and Martin, thank you very much. I will try my best.

What I did for today is basically design the logo/icon for the portfolio brochure which contains around 8 designers/photographers work including myself. They said they want to show designers' works to promote and also for later can be a category for clients to find their desire graphic designers whose style suit their needs.
I found it also really surprised when they ask me to include my work in their brochure design??? Am I good enough???
Then I have to come up with a template or layout for the brochure. At first, my boss wants to brochure in landscape format to be fitted inside the CD box (18x12cm) or at least the CD size (12x12cm). But then for better and saving printing cost, he changed the size to 210x140mm which you can print 2 spreads in 1 SRA3. We kind of discussed the idea of folded brochure but then it has to be printed on A1 size then cut off which is costed around a few thousands dollar compared to a few hundreds for the first idea. We then decided on the 1st one.
My duties are to design to cover, the info page and drafting out the layout for the brochure. And I found it quite funny when we worked on the name for the book brochure. He wants a theme for the book which is "Think creatively outside the square" but still consistent and original. I then came up with a few names and among them are: Outside the box, beyond idea... We then kind of decided on the name "Think outside the box" and I have to try to design them into a icon or playing with typography instead of using illustration or image to represent the idea.
He asked me and Mar to discuss the template before I leave so that we don't waste time on the project because I am not coming tomorrow because of the driving test. But then, Mar said he doesn't know what to discuss because he had no idea and tell me to think about that then do it later on. I somehow felt that the boss and Mar opinions are kind of opposing which I found sometimes hard for me because I am in the middle.According to what I heard, I am completely understand that they just don't really understand each other and interpret each other opinion wrongly. I will try to contribute more so that they won't oppose anymore.

First day and so many need to deal with plus my own self pressure, I am really worn out. Moreover, he said we will work on this project maybe 2 months and later on develop and A1 version and need me to communicate to the other Vietnamese designer in VN the concept and method... But 4 weeks later, I promised I am gonna do intern at Digital Eskimo which I really like and wished I could work there long time ago. What am I gonna do?
My mum told me don't think too much. Just contribute as much as I can and if there is nothing go wrong then I just stay and work for Onion boy and ask my friend to replace my position at Digital Eskimo (Jaclyn I think of you). But then in the meantimes, we don't know anything about the next 4 weeks what is gonna happen, then just work without any second thought.
There is a proverb said: "Don't stand in one mountain and yearn for the other higher one". My mum added: "If you change your 1st job so quick without reason, then the 2nd, the 3rd, ... one, you may find yourself keep changing job". It is like a 1st bad sign that might affect the later". I am wondering, but I still believe in what she said I promised myself I will do my best and leave the rest upon later to decide since you will never know what it gonna happen even tomorrow.

End the diary for 1st working day, later record maybe shorter.
Ah and hope that I will pass the driving test tomorrow. "Grandpa, please protects and assists me"

Soul mate!

A short Korean drama (12 episodes) but I couldn't finish it, because I don't want to. At the beginning, I feel like it because of its humour and storyline but then, the ending spoils the whole drama (ha simply because it doesn't end as I would like it to be). Anyway, I still like it (rate 4/5).
Ah the drama poster is quite nice and also I really love one of the actress in this drama (Hong Yu Jin_Sa Kang). She is super super cute, also her acting. I really love her hair style, and wondering if it would look good on me haha.
Something quite interesting about this drama is that the cast keep their real name in the drama, except for Sa Kang (the actresss I love , wonder why???).

I finally found job...

I finally found job...(not just 1 but 2 jobs) after nearly 2 months desperately looking for one...
Ahhh so happy, really happy, I want to tell the whole world. I found 2 in one day just like I found 2 four-leaf clovers in one day. I now start to feel the luckiness from the 4-leaf clovers...Ha This is the first time I myself found a job without asking help from anyone. I will treasure this feeling.

The job starts on this coming monday is at the print shop called "Onion boys" (so far i knew). They need someone to help on their projects about VN since they had branches in VN and want to expend their market, and I am somehow applied in time. HA.
The 2nd one I found is at "Digital Eskimo". They are quite an impressive firm (have a look at their website at www.digitaleskimo.com). This job will start 4 weeks later... I have to do research about them before starting the job ha.
I am so happy when I received his call (Mr Duncan) asking if I am still interested in the intern and you can guess how happy I was. I still remembered he asked me:

"Is it cool?"
Wow, "It is really cool", I replied, "Thank you very much".

But... now i start to fear for what coming next... There are all sort of questions popping into my head... Will I do a good job? What if I don't know how to do this and that?
But... I will try my best.
But this coming tuesday, I have a driving test and I may have a ask for a whole day off.
YA, start a new job and ask for a day off the following day is really troublesome. But there are no choice. I can't delay the test, and I also don't want to.
About the driving test, hope i will pass... Ha I don't want to see you again with my driving tutor.

Now I look forward to the ski trip next weekend start at 6pm 27 to 28 and will return on 29.

This is the drama I strongly recommended for those who love drama.

This is a drama about love and life, worth spending time on...
After finishing the whole drama in 3 days, I searched for it music, and the main action images.
He was the action in the drama "The successful story of a bright girl"; however, in that movie, he looked like a jerk to me. But then in "Thank you", he looks... ahhh, I really like him now. ^u^
The little kid Bomi and her mother Young Shin are also super adorable.
I love them all...

Today...
I found 2 four - leaf clovers...
WOW... Have anyone ever found one???

Searching for the meaning of 4-leaf clover, it is said that the 1st leaf represents HOPE, the 2nd leaf stands for FAITH, the 3rd symbolizes LOVE and the last-the 4th leaf means LUCK.
Isn't it great for me to find two 4-leaf clover at the same time. Does that mean double happiness? hehe

They said there are 10 000 3-leaf clovers for every 4-leaf clover. Amazing.
I found myself no reason but happy for that whole day ^u^
